Introduction to Human Geography

Introductory geography course focusing on the ways in which cultural groups around the world utilize and modify their landscapes and environments. This course is a survey of global patterns of resources, population, culture, and economic systems. Emphasis is placed upon the factors contributing to these patterns and the distinctions between the technologically advanced and less advanced regions of the world. Students will analyze the complexity of how historical, economic, and political relationships develop, persist, or change.
