What is transfer credit?
Credit transfer is a process in education where a student's academic credits earned at one educational institution are accepted and applied towards a program of study at another institution. Transferring credits allows you to make the most of your time, save money, accelerate degree completion, bypass challenging courses at your home university, and explore a wider range of course options.
The policies of credit transfer are institution-specific and hinge on various factors, including your academic standing, the similarity of course content, the grades you achieved in those courses, the accreditation status of the involved institutions, and the academic benchmarks upheld by your home institution.

Carefully review the credit transfer policies of your institutions. Look for information about eligible courses, GPA requirements, and any specific transfer procedures. You can usually find a university's credit transfer policy on its official website, by simply searching “transfer credit”. How to secure your credit transfer?
We highly recommend students to bring their course syllabus to the relevant department at the school for course evaluation and to obtain a pre-approval result before registering for courses. This ensures that the credits earned can be smoothly transferred back to your enrolled university and correspond to the desired courses. Typically, there are three main methods:
Evaluate your course and get approval:
According to school or college policies, contact the relevant department, registrar office, or academic advisor through appointments, emails, or in-person visits. Complete the necessary auditing process with official credentials such as signatures, forms, or email records, confirming that the courses you take can be transferred and correspond to your desired courses. These certificates serves as an essential basis for credit transfer.
Traditional Evaluation:
TRANSFEROLOGY is a web-based platform and service that helps students and advisors explore how courses from one institution may transfer to another.
By entering information about the courses you’ve taken (or plan to take), the system provides you a database of course equivalencies and transfer policies to determine if these courses will transfer, and how they will apply to your home institution. Simply create a free account with TRANSFEROLOGY to get started!
However, TRANSFEROLOGY sometimes serve as references and aren't always definitive in determining credit transfer results. Therefore, it's advisable to contact your school's officials for confirmation.
Using TRANSFEROLOGY to check credits
Some institutions have established online credit transfer systems. Students can input course information in the database to determine course equivalencies and complete the evaluation process online. If your submission doesn't appear in the system, you might need to follow method 1 and do the evaluation in traditional way.
Official Course Equivalency System:
Some schools might not accept pre-approvals, requiring students to submit all course information after completing the courses to confirm credit transfer. This could lead to unsuccessful credit transfers or credits not matching with your desired courses. In such cases, we strongly advise consulting both of the relevant department at your institution and our advisors before starting classes to minimize risks.
