Electromagnetism I
PHYS 377
The course covers the fundamental theory of electricity and magnetism. The subjects under study include vector analysis, static electric and magnetic fields, electric scalar potential, magnetic vector potential, etc. The course objectives will be accomplished through lecture and discussion of selected topics in class, and by students working through the assigned parts of text, including all textbook examples and all assigned homework problems. Assessment will come from exams and assigned homework.
