Introduction to Sociology

Sociology is the study of human behavior in the context of group situations and relationships. This course investigates the nature and structure of social groups and studies how certain social institutions function. Complete with a community service component, this course allows students to see beyond themselves to the greater society in which they live, encouraging social engagement and a commitment to the betterment of society.
