Introduction to Business
MG 101
This is a required introductory course that is designed to provide students with a complete and integrated overview of business. Students will be exposed to the various functional areas of business, (Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Operations, Management and Human Resource Management) and will learn how changes in the environment impact an organization. This course will explore concepts of globalization, ethics and corporate social responsibility, forms of business ownership, the roles of small business and entrepreneurship, as well as business strategy and executive decision making. The course will also introduce the student to the functions of management and how those functions assist a manager in developing and operating a successful business.
